Not all trees get the memo but eclectic color changers aren't afraid to stand out.

Each individual leaf is an important piece in the mosaic of fall foliage.

Vibrant trees pave the streets, majestic against the bright blue sky.

The pigment responsible for red leaves is anthocyanin.

The 2022 record-challenging warmth (Washington Post) in late October and early November on the East Coast is only proof of Climate Change-induced weather instability.

Hearing the crunch as I walk through dead leaves is one of my favorite things about the season.

As trees count less hours of sunlight, they stop photosynthesizing to conserve energy for the winter. Chlorophyll, the green pigment essential to photosynthesis, degrades and gives way to carotenoids (yellow and orange) and anthocyanins (red and purple) pigments. (Britannica)

A sea of red, orange, yellow, and green makes Fall one of the most artistic seasons.

In addition to the enchanting colors, the activities and sights from harvest are one of Fall's most enjoyable perks.
